Public Works Summer Tree Chipping

Public Works Crews Continue Removing Tree Debris

Public Works crews are doing their part to help the Village of South Holland recover from the recent heavy storms. They have also been providing assistance to Flossmoor and Lansing, who suffered significant damage following an EF-1 tornado on August 11.

Tree debris removal is ongoing and will be collected the day after your area's garbage pickup. There is no need to call Public Works to schedule tree chipping. Crews will make their way through each area as part of the ongoing cleanup.

Please be patient with the crews as they work throughout the village. With many trees and branches down from the storms, the cleanup process will take some time.

Note: Public Works crews can only remove trees placed on the curb. They are unable to go onto private property to remove branches, no matter the size, due to insurance bonds.
