South Holland's Annual Fourth of July Celebration 2026

Celebrate America's 250th anniversary at the South Holland 4th of July event! This year’s festivities include a free Family Fun Festival during the day and our signature fireworks display in the evening. From games and live music to delicious food and spectacular fireworks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

FAMILY FUN FESTIVAL

12pm-4pm | Veterans Memorial Park
500 E 160th Place, South Holland

Spend the afternoon enjoying a variety of free, family-friendly activities in South Holland’s premier park. The Family Fun Festival is open to everyone at no cost (except for food purchases), and it’s the perfect way to kick off your 4th of July celebration!

Activities:
-Carnival games
-Roller skating rink (all ages!)
-Petting zoo
-Face painting
-Bounce houses
-Music by the South Holland Municipal Band
-And more!

Food: A variety of food trucks will be stationed near the baseball field with tasty offerings available for purchase. The concession stand will also be open.

NOTE:
-Tents and grills are not permitted in the park.
-The park will close at 5:00pm to prepare for the evening fireworks and will reopen at 6:00pm.

FIREWORKS CELEBRATION

Gates open: 6pm | Gates Close: 9pm sharp

As evening falls, return to the park for a special America 250 fireworks show. Enjoy live entertainment and a colorful display that lights up the night in patriotic celebration.

To help manage large crowds and keep the event safe and enjoyable, non-residents will be charged a nominal fee for the fireworks show.

SOUTH HOLLAND RESIDENTS:
FREE admission with valid proof of residency
(No ticket required. Please bring a photo ID or utility bill.)

NON-RESIDENTS:
In Advance: $8 per person (ages 6 and up)
At the Gate: $10 per person (ages 6 and up)

Children 5 and under are free. Kids under age 18 MUST be accompanied by parent or legal guardian.

FIREWORKS SHOW EVENT NOTES

*Gates open at 6pm. Gates close at 9pm sharp.

* Kids under age 18 must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian.

* Please bring your Eventbrite ticket (digital or printed) to the gate.

* All guests will be subject to a metal detection screening.

* Food is available for purchase at food trucks and the concession stand.

* Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged.

* No tents or grills permitted.

* No alcohol or personal fireworks permitted.

* In the event the fireworks show is canceled, tickets will be honored for a rescheduled date. If the event is not rescheduled, tickets will be valid for the 2027 fireworks celebration.

Free parking is available at the following locations:
-First Reformed Church – 15924 South Park Ave
-Municipal parking lots at Louis Ave and E 161st St
-Handicap parking is available

**Street parking is prohibited in neighborhoods where No Parking signs are placed.**
