To help keep our neighborhoods clean and attractive, the Village has updated its rules for storing garbage and recycling containers.
Key reminders:
• Store containers in a side yard or rear yard.
• Containers must be placed directly against your house, garage, or another accessory structure.
• Do not store containers between the front of your home and the street.
• Do not place containers in front of garage doors.
• Containers must remain behind the projected building line of your home or garage.
• Containers should be stored in a location where odors do not impact neighboring properties.
Residents with corner lots may store containers on the secondary street side only if specific requirements are met.
