SHRS - Certified Fitness Instructor – Aquatic or Land

The Village of South Holland is seeking Certified Fitness Instructors to work as independent contractors to fulfill the set requirements of classes, including dates and times classes are scheduled.

POSITION: Fitness Instructor- Aquatic or Land

DEPARTMENT: South Holland Recreational Services

WAGE: Based on experience

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Developing a fitness class as determined, meeting the appropriate Frequency, Intensity, and Time
• Plan class outline and follow through
• Supervise and monitor class
• Organize equipment
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance
• Review and evaluate progress of class; make adjustments as needed
• Report any safety concerns or injuries

Qualifications:
• One (1) year experience after completion of certification
• Knowledge of equipment used for specified class

Education and training:
• Current certification from a national accredited certifying agency: ACE, AFAA, AEA, NSCA, NESTA, AF, CI, NASM, ACSM, TRX, NPI, Spinning, Zumba, Yoga
Fit, STOTT, Silver Sneakers, Kettleworx, WERQ
• Current CPR/AED
• Liability Insurance
