Community Center - Endowment Fund
The South Holland Community Center opened on July 1, 2000. It is a 50,000 square foot facility on the North side of Thornwood High School's campus on land purchased by the Village. The building contains meeting rooms, offices, pool, gym, Fitness Center, pre-school, nursery,
media room, locker rooms, sauna, kitchen, and whirlpool.
The Community Center Endowment Committee has been established to allow residents and businesses the opportunity to take ownership of the building through their participation and to help underwrite a part of the cost of individual rooms.
The lobby of the Community Center showcases a stunning 12-foot by 12-foot Tree of Life display. This display is a visual
representation of donations made by residents and businesses to enhance the Community Center. There are various options for you to
consider when donating. Donations range from $300 to $50,000 and up. Additionally, you or your organization have the option of funding
an individual room. The room can be named after you or your organization in appreciation of the donation. This donation will be
reflected on the Tree of Life as well.
If you think you would like to be a part of this historical undertaking, please consider making a donation to purchase a Leaf, Acorn, Stone, or Engraved Plate. (please see prices below).
