Community Policing
The Village of South Holland and the South Holland Police Department are continuously striving for community involvement to help make our community better. That is why the South Holland Police Department has developed The Community Policing Initiative. The Community Policing Initiative for our Village allows the community and the Police Department to work together to keep our crime rate low and to improve the quality of life for our residents through monthly meetings.
The South Holland Police Department has divided the Village into three Community Policing Districts: Village North, Village South and Village Central. These districts were designed to group residents with similar community concerns together, to better enhance the sharing of information. The interaction and information sharing that occurs at these meetings benefits our entire community.
Village North - If you are North of 162nd Street (Route 6), your group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the South Holland Library (16250 Wausau Avenue) at 7:00pm.
Village South – If you are East of the Bishop Ford Expressway and South of 162nd Street (Route 6) OR if you are South of 162nd Street (Route 6) and Southwest of the railroad tracks, your group meets on the 4th Monday of every month at the Community Center (501 E 170th Street) at 7:00pm.
Village Central - If you are South of 162nd Street (Route 6), West of the Bishop Ford Expressway and Northeast of the railroad tracks, your group meets on the 1st Monday of every month at the Community Center (501 E 170th Street) at 7:00pm.
