Gouwens Park is the newest addition to the park system. Located along the south bank of the Little Calumet River on the eastern end of town near 159th Street and Seton Road, its 27 acres are designed for multiple activities.

The complex includes 2 lighted softball fields, 1 lighted Little League field, and 1 lighted major league size hardball field. All fields are irrigated. This park also includes 4 lighted tennis courts, 1 small pavilion and 1 large group pavilion, 2 playgrounds, a lighted in-line skate rink, a 7 acre wetland nature area with board walk overlook, a canoe launch into the Little Calumet River, and a 3 mile paved bike path connected to 2 other parks.

In the park are permanent and portable toilets, a full service concession/maintenance building, and parking. In addition to local groups using the ball fields, several universities have hosted games as well as tournaments on the well-manicured fields.

This park is conveniently accessible to I-94.
