Village President, Don A. De Graff, today appointed and the Board of Trustees approved Andrew Johnson, Jr. as Village Trustee to fill the unexpired term of Arthur L. Bennett, who retired on September 2, 2008 after serving nearly thirteen years as Village Trustee.
Johnson and his wife Donna have been South Holland residents for nearly 5 years while raising two sons, Bryan age 5 and Tyler age 12. Johnson holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and Finance from the Keller School of Management, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University. He is currently a reporter with Dow Jones Newswires, writing daily articles and features on breaking news and trends covering commodity markets traded at the Chicago Board of Trade, Kansas City Board ot Trade and Minneapolis Grain Exchange. He also provides weekly on-air market commentary for CNBC Business News Television.
He served as a Board member of Christ Our Savior Catholic School and was a member of the South Holland Park Advisory Board. In addition, he is the President of the Chicago Tee Birds, Inc. Golf Club and a volunteer coach for baseball, basketball, and football.
