St. Baldricks Charity Event
St. Baldrick’s Day is upon us once again! As most of you know, the South Holland Firefighters have been involved with St. Baldrick's as "shavees" since 2004.
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers, and to give survivors long and healthy lives.
Last year, there were 1,032 events, over 44,000 "shavees" and over $27 Million was raised! With your help, we can surpass that this year!
So we're asking for your support in helping us find a cure for the #1 killer of children.
If there is any way you can help, please click here to donate either to our team or an individual of your choice. And don’t forget, all donations are tax deductible!
If anyone is interested in attending the event itself, it is Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Thornton American Legion Hall from 5:00pm - 1:00am. There will be food and a cash bar, not to mention friends and family having a good time supporting a great cause! If you have any questions, you can call South Holland Fire Station #1 at 331-3123 and ask for Tom Farr.
