South Holland VFW Post 9964 will be hosting a Veterans Day Service on November 11th at 11:00am in Veterans Park at the Monument. VFW Post 9964 will honor all those who were called and served their country. Those who are in Hospitals and Nursing Homes, the Living, those Missing in Action, Prisoners of War, and those who have left our ranks.

Following the memorial service, VFW Post 9964 will host an Open House and Social at the American Legion Hall, 443 E 157th Street, starting at 11:30am.

The public is welcome to attend, especially veterans of all services. Members will be available to answer questions regarding their military service and experiences and to explain the programs, benefits and services available to all veterans. Refreshments will be served.

A member of Boy Scout Troop 490 will be present. This young man is working on his Eagle Scout Award and as part of his project he will be collecting items of a personal nature to be given to the residents of the Manteno Veterans Home this Christmas. He will welcome all contributions. Boy Scout Troop 490 is sponsored by VFW Post 9964.
