| 1945 | South Holland American Legion Post 883 is organized. |
| 1946 | South Holland Lions Club is first chartered. |
| 1950 | South Holland's population reaches 3,247. |
| 1955 | Calvary Reformed Church is formed, birthed as a daughter church of First Reformed Church. |
| 1956 | Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church is formed. |
| 1956 | Madison School is formed. |
| 1957 | St. Jude the Apostle Parish is established. |
| 1957 | Redeemer Lutheran Church is formed. |
| 1958 | United Presbyterian Church of South Holland is formed. |
| 1958 | The Salvation Army Unit in South Holland is organized. |
| 1958 | South Holland Babe Ruth Baseball is started. |
| 1959 | Blue laws prohibiting certain businesses from opening on Sunday are introduced and adopted, in keeping with long-standing tradition of not operating business on Sunday. |
| 1960 | South Holland's population swells to 10,412 |
| 1960 | Grace Lutheran Church is organized. |
| 1961 | Protestant Reformed Christian School is established. |
| 1961 | Eisenhower Elementary School is organized. |
| 1961 | The South Holland Public Library is established. |
| 1962 | Holy Ghost Church is established. |
| 1963 | Holy Ghost School is opened. |
| 1963 | Faith Reformed Church is formed, as a daughter church of First Reformed Church. |
| 1963 | Elizabeth Seton High School opens, now known as Seton Academy. |
| 1965 | MacArthur Elementary School is constructed and opens. |
| 1965 | Larem Montessori School is established. |
| 1965 | Peace Christian Reformed Church is organized. |
| 1967 | Greenwood Elementary School is opened. |
| 1967 | South Holland holds its first "Tulip Festival" during which South Holland's official flag was designed by Mrs. Raymond Krecmer and Paul Chilcote. |
| 1969 | South Holland Historical Society is formed. |
| 1969 | South Holland holds the Diamond Jubilee in celebration of its 75th Anniversary. |
| 1970 | McKinley Junior High School is opened. |
