The Village Block Party - South Holland's Largest!
Gather your friends, relatives and neighbors, and meet at Paarlberg Park. Good conversations, picnic dining, Mayor De Graff and the Trustees will be on hand to encourage the participants in all the activities.
Picnic tables will be lined up for the convenience of all who can bring their own food or purchase hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, taco surprises and beverages from the Thornwood Band Parents...they will cook to order. Portable grills are acceptable and lawn chairs are advisable.
Smiles and good conversation are definite menu items for the evening!
Enjoy the performance by the Thornwood Marching band. The Jamaican One Man band will delight and entertain you. Enjoy the routines of the stepping dance demonstration. Your toes will tap whether you come to listen or dance at the Block Party as local talent performs.
Picnic tables are available at 5:30pm and parking is available at no cost. If you wish, you can call Heritage Festival Central at 210-2904 and reserve a picnic table for South Holland's Largest Block Party on September 3. Take note, special parking and picnic table arrangements can be made for the disabled by calling Heritage Festival Central.
