Economic Development is the on-going process of developing and redeveloping land for various uses.
Our Village forefathers understood the importance placed upon designating land for its highest and best use. They recognized the need to create a community with a proper balance between industrial, commercial, retail, and residential uses. Thus, today we have three (3) industrial sectors and one (1) main commercial/retail corridor; plus several smaller commercial/retail sectors.
We, as a Village have kept abreast of changes in the economy and life style without giving up our traditional values. Our vision of Faith, Family, and Future compels us through good planning, hard work, high standards, and reasonable expectations to achieve the best for our community by continually evaluating our economic base.
We have a planning and development staff who work diligently with developers and business owners to help them accomplish their goals. Our approach is: "How can we make it happen?".
We have established four (4) Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) districts and are in an energy renewal zone. We participate in county tax incentives and loan programs. We are "User Friendly".
