based on the February 19, 2007 meeting.

at Village Hall.

Trustee Doorn reminded residents of upcoming events: the Mayor's Coffee on Tuesday, March 20 at 7:00pm, and the annual Take a Bite out of Grime on Saturday, May 12, 8:00am. Both events will be held at the South Holland Community Center, 501 E 170th Street.
The Mayor's Coffee will focus on Flood Awareness Week and offer residents an update on the remapping of the Little Calumet watershed's floodplain, flood protection tips, as well as a sample flood plan disaster kit.
Take a Bite out of Grime and the annual Arbor Day celebration encourages residents to take part in efforts to continue to beautify South Holland. The event is a great opportunity to teach children to be good citizens. Registration for the event is available at the South Holland Community Center. Also, South Holland residents are invited to be a part of the annual Heritage Festival Artists' Gallery (formerly the Gallery of Art), held during the Heritage Festival on Labor Day weekend. Residents interested in showcasing their artistic talents should contact Mary Ann Thornton at Village Hall, 210-2918 or mthornton@southholland.org.
Parks & Recreation
Trustee Bennett announced that the park maintenance staff is currently replacing the split rail fence at Van-O Park with boulders that will serve as a decorative barrier between the road and the park. The boulders were donated by Material Service Corporation and delivery of the boulders was donated by Brites Cartage, Ltd.
Finance
Trustee Sullivan requested approval for Register No. 568 for $1,193,428.53 covering day-to-day operations, vendor payments, and salaries. The Board approved the register.
Community Development
The Board approved Building Permits Nos. 2007-0066 through 2007-0084, representing $245,640 of investment in the community. According to Trustee De Young, among these permits are new signage for Cleopatra Hair Salon, remodeling for Aldi, Inc., new windows for Health Care Plus, and two possible flood proofing rebates.

Pastor Al VanderMeer of First Reformed Church opened the meeting with prayer.
The Board held a public hearing regarding a redevelopment agreement with Bradford South Holland, LLC for the Route 6 / South Park Avenue project.
Following the public hearing, the Board approved the redevelopment agreement with Bradford South Holland, LLC.
The Board approved an amendment to the Brownstones Phase B agreement.
The Board authorized the purchase of properties located at 246 E 162nd Street and 16120 South Park Avenue, as part of the Town Center redevelopment project.
The Board approved a motion to grant a Conditional Use Permit to Skin Deep Essentials Day Spa, Ltd., a new business coming to Town Center.
The Board approved an amendment to the vehicle impoundment ordinance.
