Village Board,
based on the May 17, 2004 meeting.
Residents desiring to see a complete record of the Village Board meetings can request

Meetings are usually held at 8 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month
at Village Hall.
The next meeting will take place on June 7,
2004 at 8:00PM
Student Government Day
Sixteen middle school students representing five area public and private schools made their presentations for Student Government Day. Following the regular meeting, the students received plaques of participation and were treated to a reception.
Community Coordination
Trustee Doorn reminded everyone that the current vehicle stickers will expire June 30. New vehicle stickers will go on sale at the Village Hall June 1. Renewal forms will also be mailed out on June 1. A late fee will be charged after August 1.
Applications for the Ribfest will be available at the Village Hall and at the Memorial Day Parade, and will be due June 28.
A public meeting regarding the Metra Southeast rail service will be held June 10 at the Glenwood Village Hall. The Open House will be from 4pm - 7pm. The formal presentation will begin at 7pm.
Parks & Recreation
Trustee Bennett announced that registration for summer programs will begin Thursday May 20 at the Community Center and will continue for two weeks during regular business hours at the Community Center.
Community Development
The Board approved Building Permits No. 2004-322 through 2004-411. Included in those permits, according to Trustee DeYoung, are fountain repair and painting at MB Financial; new signage and painting for Cottage Grove Church; and 2 new homes in the Morningside subdivision.
Other Notables:
Rev. Tom Kok from Peace Church opened the meeting with prayer, and Dr. john Sullivan from the Spirit of God Fellowship closed the meeting with prayer.
The Board approved the Ralph Edgar College TIF Redevelopment Agreement for a 3,300 sq. ft. commercial building at 200 W 162nd Street.
The Board approved an amendment to the Village Code adding stop signs in north and southbound lanes at 169th and Greenwood.
The Board approved a request for the appointment of two police officers to fill vacancies.
The Board approved a mutual aid agreement with other municipalities within the area to provide and request ESDA services as needed.
Trustee Bennett encouraged everyone to come out for the Memorial Day Parade May 31. The parade will begin at 11am on South Park Avenue and end in Veteran's Park at 12:30pm
Trustee Chambers shared a letter from Rest Haven, commending ESDA for their part in making the wheelchair parade a success.
Trustee Doorn announced there is currently a helicopter's advisory for conducting aerial surveys of railway lines in our area. Residents should not be alarmed.
The Emergency Medical Services Proclamation week will be May 16-22.
