Village Board,
based on the February 17, 2004 meeting.
Residents desiring to see a complete record of the Village Board meetings can request
copies of the meeting minutes from the Village Clerk's office in the Municipal building.

Meetings are usually held at 8 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month
at Village Hall.
The next meeting will take place on March 1,
2004 at 8:00PM
Community Coordination
Trustee Doorn announced the next Mayors Coffee will be held on March 4, 2004 at 7:00pm at the Community Center. All are welcomed to attend to express any items of interest and/or concern to the Mayor and Trustees.
Boy Scout Troop 409

Members of Boy Scout Troop 409
performed a “Presentation of Colors” flag ceremony at the Village Board
Meeting.
Parks & Recreation
Trustee Bennett reported that applications are still being accepted for the annual Memorial Day Parade which is scheduled for May 31, 2004.
He also reported that the summer program books are being put together and will be mailed to each homeowner in May.
In addition, Trustee Bennett reported that the Parks Department is currently assisting the residents of the Riverside/Perry area with the restoration of their Riverside Club House. The club house is over 60 years old and was donated to the Village by World War II Veterans.
Resident Comments
A resident on hand expressed sadness over the recent death of Senator Di Angelo, and spoke of his many years of great service to the State of Illinois.
He also commented on the life and death of one of the City of Riverdale's Police Officers. Members of Boy Scout Troop 409 performed a “Presentation of Colors” flag ceremony at the Village Board Meeting.
Other Notables:
A public hearing was opened for the College Bicycle Path Grant and closed with no comments from the public.
Pastor Georgina Ayala from Life Builders Internatinal Revival Church opened the meeting in prayer.
The Board approved Village Administrator Rich Zimmerman as Clerk pro tem in Village Clerk Ruth DeVrie's absence.
The Board approved Register No. 460 in the amount of $800,767.50 covering day-to-day operations, vendor payments and salaries.
The Board approved building permits No. 2004-32 thru 44.
The Board approved two State Purchase Program Resolutions for the Parks and Public Works Departments.
The Board approved a resolution granting Illinois Transport Class 8 status. The company repairs refrigerator containments on semi-trucks.
